Why do I need to Exercise?

Three major reasons

For cardiovascular improvement

For Muscle retention

- and -

So that you can breath.

BREATHING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT

HUH? Is probably your first reaction - But, I will tell you a secret that the Health Gurus don't have a clue.  In order to lose weight, you MUST breathe.

A long time ago when I was learning about chemistry, I became intrigued with something called the Kreb Cycle primarily the part that explains weight gain and loss.   This is a royal pain in the neck to comprehend, but here goes.  Basically it is a multi-layered algebra problem, hidden in chemical terms.  Let me introduce you to the major players.

FAT = Complex Hydrocarbon, basically some multiple of Carbon and Hydrogen, generally using chemical symbols.  FAT = ( CH2)*n

OXYGEN = Oxygen = O2

WATER = H2O

CARBON DIOXIDE = CO2

The major players combine in the following ( Greatly simplified )

In the FAT burning phase of weight loss, the equation is:

FAT + Oxygen = Water + Carbon Dioxide

or for the chemistry buffs

2( CH2) + 3O= 2H2O + 2CO2

So, what does that mean ??

To give it to you so that you will understand:

I will convert all that to weights and measures.

In order to lose 1.0 # of FAT,  You MUST Breath in 3.4 # of Oxygen, You MUST excrete 1.3 # of Water, and you MUST breathe out 3.1 # of Carbon Dioxide.

The fact is:  CARBON ( Fat = Hydrocarbons ) is eliminated through breathing.

The three keys to success with the band
