Hi Wayne,
I appreciate your sense of humor very much. Also, I think your web site is
better than most, especially the before and after photos.
I do have a couple of strange but important questions. First,

Q: Why doesn't the lower part of our stomachs constantly feel hungry? You know, the rumbles.

A:  The Vegus nerve, is the nerve that is responsible for feelings of full and sated.   It is connected to the pouch and not to the lower stomach.

Q: Also, many web sites claim that the people can eat whatever they
want within reason.
Such as, you mentioned that if a person ate ice cream
all day, they could still gain weight. But, my question would be more to
the point say, of McDonalds or Mexican foods. Can you still eat spicy or
greasy foods, albeit in moderation?

A: There is no limit to what you can eat with the band.  Spicy, or not spicy, all is editable.

Q: Although water is the best, what about those of us dependent on caffeine? Can we continue to drink either coffee or diet soda?

A: Coffee, yes.  Diet Soda - No.

Q: How exactly is the piece attached to the inside of your abdomen that allows for filling?

A:  It is stitched to the muscle fascia.

Q: If you hit it, say on a counter, or in a hug, does that hurt?

A: No

Q: Have you ever heard of anyone having the tubing between the filler and the loop get tangled inside around something?

A: One case have I heard of that.

Q: To your knowledge, do any kind of exercises such as sit ups cause pain or potential problems?

A: No.
