I had my surgery w/ Dr. Kuri 12/17/01 and I have no complaints about him as a person or physician. Wonderful man. When I started doing my research on the band, I was sure I would never go to TJ for my surgery. I thought, "who in their right mind would go to TJ for surgery?" Well, I learned. I'm a nurse and I found the hospital to be adequate and the room & bathroom clean.  The nursing care was quite good, even w/ the language barrier.

Ultimately, you'll have to decide for yourself about Dr. Kuri. We all have different experiences. But as far as his medical and surgical knowledge and skills, I think he's top notch.
